BIM & VDC
One of the biggest strengths at McCusker-Gill is our BIM /
VDC department. Our BIM department is staffed by fifteen
dedicated coordinators who are all members of Local #17. Our
detailers have all been fully trained “in-house” by our
team, in addition to the five-year apprenticeship program.
This department is always an early adopter of new
technologies and uses the most modern and efficient
technology available to our trade. We currently coordinate
in Revit 2023 and this department also relies heavily on
STRATUS to manage our prefabrication and fabrication
workflows.
Our BIM department heads are very active participants in
trade shows, products expos, and other conferences that
attract early adopters and market new innovation that serves
the construction field. We participate annually in ASTI’s
MEP Force, Autodesk University, AHR Expo, SMACNA/MCA MEP
Innovation Conference, and the MCAA Fab Conference. Our BIM
department heads are part of a task force that is currently
building out our platform for API / Power BI, Data &
Analytics, and Ancillary Reporting.
